Jeffrey Pervanas is a partner at Riches, McKenzie & Herbert LLP who has focused solely on intellectual property law since starting his career, covering patents, trademarks, copyrights, and industrial designs. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1992, is a registered Canadian patent and trademark agent, and became a partner in 2002. Before law school, he completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Science at the University of Toronto. He has acted for multinational corporations pursuing patent, trademark, and industrial design registrations in Canada, and prepares and prosecutes applications for Canadian companies and inventors both domestically and abroad through a network of foreign associates. Jeffrey also handles licensing agreement work, particularly in financial technology, and over three decades has helped numerous Canadian startups protect the innovations behind their products and services.
