About Kevin
Kevin Andrew Voth is an IP lawyer whose practice includes drafting, filing, and prosecuting patent applications in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical science. He completed undergraduate studies in biochemistry, pursued graduate research in structural biology, and worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Saskatchewan, giving him familiarity with phage display, molecular biology, protein purification, crystallization, and molecular structure determination. Kevin has been with Riches, McKenzie & Herbert LLP since being called to the bar in June 2024. Before joining the firm, he articled at a pharmaceutical litigation firm, where he drafted complex invalidity allegations relating to biologic and small molecule drug patents. He holds a J.D. from the University of Ottawa (2023), a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Saskatchewan (2019), and a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Biochemistry from the University of Winnipeg (2013).
