Jeffrey C. Teal earned his LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario in 1984 and was called to the Ontario bar in 1986. His business law practice ranges from routine transactional work to the governance of large national and international corporations, covering mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, corporate reorganizations, corporate finance, e-commerce and intellectual property. He and his team recently closed transactions worth more than a billion dollars in the greater Toronto area over a two-year span, working alongside investment bankers and private equity and lending groups. Jeff serves as corporate counsel to several multinational corporations, to the largest independent private boarding school in Canada, and to a multi-jurisdictional gas distribution company operating in Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick. He also advises McMaster University and OSCAR EMR on their electronic medical records systems and has acted as counsel on one of Canada's first LEED Platinum multi-residential developments. He belongs to the Canadian Bar Association and the Hamilton Law Association.
