About Tarinpal
Tarinpal Dhaliwal began working exclusively in criminal law during a summer break from law school in 2018, then worked full-time at a well-known criminal law firm in downtown Toronto after graduating, gaining significant trial litigation experience. In 2021 Tarinpal joined Aitken Robertson, and after completing articles under Richard Aitken and Phil Stiles was hired on full-time and now leads the firm's operations in Brampton and Newmarket. The practice covers charges involving firearms, fraud, assault and sexual assault, as well as drug offences, impaired driving and, on occasion, murder, with acquittals at trial, withdrawn charges, peace bonds and discharges secured for clients. Tarinpal regularly appears in the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice, with additional court experience in Quebec and British Columbia. An honours degree in Legal Studies from the University of Waterloo preceded a law degree at the University of Birmingham's Faculty of Law in the UK, where Tarinpal won a negotiation competition and belonged to the Holdsworth Student Law Society and Pro Bono Group. Tarinpal is a member of the Criminal Lawyers' Association.
