About Jared

Jared Schwartz is a partner in Patterson Law's business law group, focusing on the purchase and sale of businesses. His practice spans incorporation, contract negotiation, land acquisition and leasing, and business financing, with particular focus on advising professionals such as dentists, pharmacists, and veterinarians on setting up professional corporations. He is primary Nova Scotia counsel to a national group of private mortgage lenders and has extensive experience in domestic and international secured lending. Schwartz has been a regular lecturer at Dalhousie University's dental school and in its Faculty of Management and Health Administration programs. He earned his MBA/LL.B. from Dalhousie University in 2004 and was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2005, and has been recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada for corporate law and real estate law since 2023.
