Tax LawAnne-Marie first joined Patterson Law as a summer student in 2017, later articled with the firm, and was called to the bar in 2020. After her call, she clerked for the judges of the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal, an experience that gave her strong research and analytical skills. She now maintains a broad corporate commercial practice, advising business clients through incorporation, purchase and sale transactions, corporate finance, commercial real estate, leasing, contract negotiation, and governance matters, and through to windup or dissolution. Anne-Marie also advises on the practical application of Canadian tax law and has attended the Canadian Bar Association's Tax Law for Lawyers Conference. She teaches an introductory business law course part time at the Dalhousie University Agricultural Campus. She earned her LL.B. from the University of New Brunswick's Ludlow School of Law in 2019 and a B.Sc. in Kinesiology, with distinction, from Dalhousie University in 2015.
