About Austin

Born and raised in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Austin obtained his Bachelor of Arts in History with a double major in Accounting from Simon Fraser University, working as an accountant for small and medium-sized businesses in British Columbia and Egypt during his studies. He earned his J.D. from the University of Ottawa in 2025, where he worked on Parliament Hill for the Vice Chair of the House of Commons Standing Committee for Health, helping draft and advise on federal healthcare legislation. Austin remains active in the Pictou County Barristers' Society and serves on the board of directors of the Pictou County Community Health Centre. He was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2026.
