About James

Jim Mahler is a partner working across the real estate and corporate and commercial teams. He acts for builders and developers on residential, commercial, and industrial projects, including low, mid, and high-rise developments and public-private partnerships, throughout the Greater Golden Horseshoe. He also represents commercial and industrial landlords, manufacturers, distributors, and a range of other mid-sized and large businesses, handling financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and reorganizations. Jim was called to the Ontario bar in 1997 after earning a B.Comm. and Arts degree from McMaster University in 1991 and an M.B.A. and LL.B. from the University of Toronto in 1995. His work has included a $60 million construction financing for a power centre in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area and title work supporting $2 billion in U.S. financing secured by a large industrial property.
