About Jacob
Jacob Holloway joined Chivers Carpenter as an articling student in 2024 and became an associate in 2025, practising labour, employment and human rights law. During law school he served as co-president and treasurer of OUTlaw, helping raise more than $17,000 for the Trans ID Clinic within Student Legal Services, and coordinated the Legal Education & Reform Project, authoring recommendations to Edmonton City Council on a landlord licensing scheme. Jacob won the 2023 Mathews Dinsdale National Labour Arbitration Competition with the assistance of former Chivers Carpenter partners David Williams and Justice Kristan McLeod. Prior to law school, he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting with Distinction and spent several years performing in professional theatrical productions across western Canada.
