About Robert

Robert (Bob) McVey, K.C., has practised exclusively in civil litigation for more than 40 years at KMSC Law LLP, focusing on major personal injury cases including brain injury, paralysis, fatality and multiple-fracture claims arising from heavy equipment and bus collisions. Born in Calgary and raised in Hinton, Alberta, he earned a Bachelor of Commerce in 1975 and a law degree in 1978, both from the University of Alberta, and was admitted to the Alberta bar in 1979 after articling with J.W.K. Shortreed, K.C. Bob has appeared at all levels of court in Alberta, including the Court of Appeal and the Federal Court of Canada, and was designated Queen's Counsel in 1999. He has served on the executive of the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association for more than 25 years and on the Queen's Counsel Selection Committee.
