Administrative & Regulatory LawCamila Franco earned a dual JD/BCL from McGill University, with a major in Human Rights and International Development, and clerked at the Court of Appeal of Alberta under Chief Justice Khullar before joining Chivers Carpenter in 2024. She practises labour, employment, administrative, human rights and constitutional law, and has appeared before the Alberta Labour Relations Tribunal, the Alberta Court of King's Bench, the Ontario Superior Court, the Alberta Court of Appeal and the Federal Court of Appeal. During law school she was involved with Radlaw, the Women of Colour Collective and the L.E.X. high-school outreach program, and interned at Montreal's Centre for Research Action on Race Relations, the Instituto de Democracia y Derechos Humanos in Peru, and the University of Toronto's Citizen Lab. Camila volunteers on the Women's Legal Forum and sits on the executive committee of LEAF Edmonton as Advocacy Lead.
