About Hugh

Hugh Cameron, K.C. is a partner in Stewart McKelvey's Fredericton office, providing legal services through a professional corporation. Over more than three decades of practice, he has acted as counsel in litigation matters at trial, appeal, mediation and arbitration, including a construction dispute involving cross-jurisdictional contractual interpretation. He has represented a secured creditor in New Brunswick and Ontario court proceedings arising from the insolvency of a nationwide sales agency, and has acted for a secured and mezzanine lender in a multi-party, multi-jurisdictional insolvency. Cameron holds an LLB from the University of New Brunswick (1989) and a BBA from the same university (1983), and was called to the New Brunswick bar in 1990. He was appointed King's Counsel in 2020 and has been recognized by Best Lawyers for banking and finance law and construction law.
