About Alan

Alan is counsel in the Charlottetown office and a recipient of the Order of Canada. Admitted to the bar in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island in 1961, he no longer practises law full time but draws on more than 50 years of experience to help develop solutions for the firm's clients. He earned his LLB from Dalhousie University in 1961 and an HBA from the University of Western Ontario in 1958, and later received an honorary LLD from the University of Prince Edward Island in 1991. Alan was named King's Counsel in 1973 and has served as a director of Aliant Inc. and as a member of the Canadian Bar Association.
