Heather Fisher joined the profession in 2002 and made partner at Horne Coupar LLP in January 2007. Her work centers on estate and trust litigation, elder law matters such as contested committeeship applications, estate and incapacity planning, and estate and trust administration. Over the years she has handled a wide range of contentious estate files, from wills variation claims and challenges to a will's validity to breach of fiduciary duty, resulting trust actions, unjust enrichment claims, and disputes over the passing of accounts involving difficult executors or beneficiaries. Before law, Heather relocated from her hometown of Saint John, New Brunswick to Victoria in 1990 to play second bassoon with the Victoria Symphony. She has authored the Wills, Trusts, Estates and Adult Guardianship chapter of the CLEBC Annual Review of Law & Practice since 2009 and sits on the board of Pacific Opera Victoria.
