About Caroline

Caroline Deane focuses on wills, corporate matters, and trusts and estate planning with an emphasis on taxation, and is counsel to a number of non-profit organizations and charities. Originally from Saskatchewan, she was called to the bar there and began her career at a firm focused on taxation. She moved to Vancouver Island in 2012, completed the CICA In-Depth Tax Course while practising in Nanaimo, and later worked as a senior tax analyst for the BC provincial government before returning to practice at Horne Coupar in 2018. She is a co-author of the firm's CLEBC Annual Review chapter on wills, trusts, estates and adult guardianship, and a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation.
