About Gisèle

Gisèle Salazar joined LaBarge Weinstein's Technology and Intellectual Property Group in Ottawa in 2009. Her practice concentrates on technology contracting, covering licensing, distribution, outsourcing, privacy, and e-commerce work, and she is a registered trademark agent in Canada. She read law at Queens' College, University of Cambridge, then completed vocational training for the bar in London through an affiliation with the Middle Temple, before qualifying as a solicitor in the Technology, Media and Telecoms department of what is now Hogan Lovells. While there, she worked across technology, media, telecommunications, intellectual property, and data-protection matters, including a secondment providing regulatory and joint venture support to two media and telecoms companies. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2010, and her current work includes advising on commercialization, data protection compliance, intellectual property matters, and the IP, IT, and privacy aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
