About Brian

Brian Hoffmann is a partner practising general insurance litigation, with 15 years' experience in property damage, subrogation, personal injury, employment, and insurance fraud matters, and he leads the firm's Fire Loss group. Before law school he spent seven years in the construction industry, giving him practical insight into property damage claims. Hoffmann earned a B.A. in Criminology and Psychology from the University of Ottawa (2004) and an LL.B. from the University of Victoria (2008), and was called to the British Columbia bar in 2009. He has been with Carfra Lawton since his 2008 articles, becoming a partner in 2019.
