About Fatema

Fatema Lotia is an associate lawyer whose civil litigation practice focuses on insurance defence, covering both tort and accident benefits matters. She joined the firm from a boutique insurance defence practice in Toronto and previously worked at a plaintiff-side personal injury firm, where she handled product liability, class action, and medical malpractice matters from the plaintiff's perspective. That experience on both sides of the bar has given her a well-rounded view of case management and litigation strategy. Fatema was called to the bar in 2022 after earning her Honours BA with high distinction from the University of Toronto in 2018 and her J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2021. She serves on the Board of Directors for YWCA Toronto, a not-for-profit supporting women, girls, and gender-diverse individuals. She belongs to the Ontario Bar Association, the Toronto Lawyers Association, and the South Asian Bar Association.
