About Evan

Evan Best came to JSS Barristers in 2023, arriving after two years of criminal defence practice following his call to the Alberta bar in 2021. He earned his Bachelor of Arts with Great Distinction and his Juris Doctor with Great Distinction from the University of Saskatchewan's College of Law, where he received the Upper-Year Juris Doctor Academic Achievement Scholarship and the Eldon Woolliams Scholarship, and served on the editorial board of the Saskatchewan Law Review. After law school, he clerked at the Saskatchewan Court of King's Bench in Regina before being called to the Alberta bar. His courtroom experience includes appearances in the Alberta Court of Justice, the Alberta Court of King's Bench, and the Saskatchewan Court of King's Bench.
