About Terry

Terry Gilholme's practice is divided between estate planning matters, including wills, enduring powers of attorney, personal directives and trusts, and estate administration matters such as assisting executors with probate applications. She is a former chairperson of the Canadian Bar Association's Wills and Trusts section and belongs to the Society of Estate and Trust Practitioners, the Estate Planning Council, and the Canadian and Calgary Bar Associations. Terry has been recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada for Trusts and Estates since 2010, and was named Best Lawyers' Calgary Trusts and Estates Lawyer of the Year for 2013, 2019 and 2025. She has volunteered seminars for organizations including Leave a Legacy and the Calgary Board of Education's Chinook Learning Centre. Terry was born and raised in Medicine Hat, Alberta, earned both her degrees from the University of Alberta, and has lived in Calgary since 1992.
