About Esi

Esi Codjoe is a partner at Turnpenney Milne LLP who has practised employment, labour, human rights and administrative law for over 20 years. Codjoe advises employers on employment, labour and human rights disputes and also acts for employees in employment and human rights matters, appearing before boards, tribunals and courts on wrongful dismissals, human rights complaints and grievances. A former Vice Chair at the Human Rights Tribunal, Codjoe brings that adjudicative experience to workplace investigations, reviews and assessments for employers of all sizes. Codjoe also mediates workplace and board disputes and provides tailored training, including past teaching roles at George Brown College and Toronto Metropolitan University. Codjoe was named one of Canadian Lawyer Magazine's Top 25 lawyers and received the Ontario Bar Association's Joel Kuchar award for Professionalism and Civility. Codjoe currently serves as President of the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers.
