Business & Corporate LawErin Finlay works in entertainment law, copyright, privacy, artificial intelligence, broadcast regulatory matters, and cultural policy. She advises producers, artists, musicians, authors, publishers, and cultural businesses on film, television, publishing, music and digital media projects, and has negotiated and enforced multi-party collective licences. She has appeared before the Copyright Board of Canada, the CRTC, the Federal Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court of Canada, and parliamentary committees. Before joining the firm she served as Chief Legal Officer at the Canadian Media Producers Association and as General Counsel at Access Copyright, and earlier practised entertainment law at Cassels Brock. She holds an LLM from Osgoode Hall specializing in intellectual property, a JD from Queen's University (2002), and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2003.
