About David

David Dembroski is a partner who practises in all areas of entertainment law, including music, television, theatre, publishing and interactive media. His clients include recording artists, record companies, producers of dramatic and reality programming, writers, directors, theatrical producers, and music and book publishers, and he has helped several of them expand into celebrity endorsement and merchandising deals. His practice also extends to sports law, where he advises on advertising, merchandising and licensing, broadcast rights, franchise operations, intellectual property, player contracts and ticketing matters. Before joining his current firm, David spent nine years as a partner at Aird & Berlis LLP. He has been recognized as a leading entertainment law practitioner by The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory and is a frequent conference speaker on music, sports, television and technology topics. He was called to the Ontario bar in 1995 and holds an LLB from the University of Windsor and a BA with honours from the University of Western Ontario.
