About Madeleine
Madeleine Brown is a senior associate advising clients in entertainment and digital media, with particular strength in copyright, cultural policy, and creative and commercial disputes spanning music, videogames, and film. She helps artists, developers, producers, and rights holders protect and get value from their creative work. Before joining the firm, she ran her own boutique practice after time at a national firm and a litigation boutique, gaining experience in mediations, negotiations, trials, and appeals across provincial and federal courts and tribunals. Madeleine has Sto:lo heritage on her father's side and focuses part of her practice on supporting Indigenous creators and protecting Indigenous traditional knowledge under intellectual property law; she also mentors Indigenous youth. She earned her JD from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2017 and a BA from Western University in 2010, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2018.
