About Erin

Berney practises condominium law, acting for condominium corporations, unit owners, and property management companies on bylaw drafting and enforcement, borrowing and security, fee collection, foreclosures, insurance claims, and short-term rental disputes, including a precedent-setting Alberta decision on short-term accommodations. She has owned a condominium unit in Edmonton since 2005 and has served on her building's board, giving her practical insight alongside her legal advice. Before law school she worked as a graphic designer at the Edmonton Journal and managed the University of Alberta's Canadian Literature Centre. She was called to the Alberta Bar in 2013.
