About Eric

Eric Boate is a partner in McCague Borlack's Barrie office who was called to the bar in 2013. His civil litigation practice centers on insurance defence, primarily personal injury and motor vehicle claims handled from both the tort and accident benefit sides. He also defends a range of tort claims, such as slip and trip incidents, tavern liability, product liability, and assault cases, before the Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal. His subrogation work covers fires, floods, theft, and negligent construction and product or equipment defect claims, recovering money on behalf of his clients.
