About Emre
Emre Esensoy is an associate lawyer at Green and Spiegel LLP in Toronto, where he helps individual and corporate clients with a range of Canadian immigration matters, such as applications for temporary and permanent residence, citizenship matters, litigation, issues involving admissibility and enforcement, sponsorship appeals, and alternative dispute resolution. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor in 2019. While in school, he volunteered as Advocacy Chair for the student chapter of the Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers and worked with Community Legal Aid representing lower-income clients before administrative tribunals and the Provincial Court in matters spanning small claims, housing, criminal law, and provincial offences. After articling with the firm, he practised at a boutique immigration and refugee law firm before returning to Green and Spiegel. He holds a bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of British Columbia and a master's degree in Political Science from Simon Fraser University, and he was called to the Ontario Bar in 2020.
