E. Rebecca (Becky) Potter is a tax litigator and partner in the firm's Toronto office, known for translating complex technical tax issues into their core principles. She has represented clients at every level of court, both provincially and federally, including a landmark win at the Supreme Court of Canada, and also negotiates settlements for clients facing CRA audits, objections and litigation. Becky chairs the Advocates' Society's Tax Litigation Practice Group, served as national reporter for Canada to the International Fiscal Association in 2025, and judges the annual Bowman National Tax Moot for law students, while also mentoring junior lawyers. She has been recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada for tax law and by Lexpert as a corporate tax litigator. Becky holds a J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School and a B.SocSc. from the University of Ottawa, which she completed magna cum laude.
