About Dirk

Dirk Bouwer heads the Business Law Group at Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall, where he has led corporate and commercial transactions including mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, and debt and equity financings valued up to roughly $250 million. He has more than 30 years of experience as a business lawyer in Ottawa across sectors including manufacturing, professional services, retail, telecommunications, cleantech and health, and is also a registered trademark agent. Bouwer earned his LL.B. from McGill University in 1992 and a B.A. (Hons.) from Saint Thomas University in 1989. He served on the Board of Directors of the Ottawa Board of Trade from 2012 to 2020 and was President of the Kanata Chamber of Commerce from 2003 to 2004, and he was included in the 2025-2026 edition of The Best Lawyers in Canada for Corporate Law.
