About David

David von der Porten is a general solicitor advising developers, established businesses, and individuals on shareholder agreements, joint ventures, and buy-sell transactions, and works closely with accountants on restructuring and tax-driven deals. He maintains a comprehensive real estate practice covering residential, commercial, and development matters, including subdivisions and strata plan filings, and also assists with wills and powers of attorney. He earned a B.Sc. from the University of Victoria in 2000 and an LLB from UBC in 2005, and was called to the BC bar in 2006. He is a member of the North Shore Bar Association and a director of the North Shore Crisis Services Society.
