About Chris

Chris Bettencourt articled at McQuarrie Hunter LLP in 2009 and became a partner in January 2016. His practice centres on real estate transactions, including single-family subdivisions, mixed-use developments, and stratified townhouse projects for developers. He also handles business agreements involving debt financing, mergers and acquisitions, and incorporations. He's been recognized in the 2025 and 2026 editions of The Best Lawyers in Canada for real estate law and is active with the Canadian Bar Association and the Urban Development Institute.
