About Marian
Marian Wolanski is a partner at Belmore Neidrauer LLP, focusing on pharmaceutical and biotechnology patent disputes under the Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) Regulations. She also gives freedom-to-operate and validity opinions and helps clients shape patent strategy. Her courtroom experience spans the Federal Court, the Federal Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada. Before law, Marian trained in molecular biology, earning a B.Sc.H. in Genetics from Western University and an M.Sc. in molecular biology from the University of Windsor, where she also worked as a research associate. She completed her LL.B. at Windsor, clerked at the Provincial Court, and edited the Windsor Review of Legal and Social Issues. Marian was called to the Ontario bar in 2008 and has co-authored publications in scientific journals.
