About David
David Fraser is a partner at McInnes Cooper known as one of Canada's leading internet, technology and privacy lawyers, advising clients ranging from startups to large multinational companies on technology and privacy law. He helps organizations implement compliance programs under Canadian federal and provincial privacy legislation and represents clients before the Office of the Privacy Commissioner. David writes the Canadian Privacy Law Blog and Canadian Cloud Law Blog, and is a member of the Dalhousie Law School faculty, where he teaches internet and media law and technology law. He is past president of the Canadian IT Law Association and former chair of the Canadian Bar Association's National Privacy and Access Law Section. David earned his LL.B. from Dalhousie University in 1999 and was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2001.
