About David

David Younggren is counsel at DBB Law practicing civil litigation. He joined the firm in 1988 after articling to Chief Justice Laycraft at the Alberta Court of Appeal, and became a partner in 1993. His practice covers corporate and contractual litigation, shareholder disputes, wrongful dismissal, real estate litigation, construction liens, and collections, and he successfully argued a criminal appeal, R. v. Egger, before the Supreme Court of Canada. David is a past chair of the Alberta Association of Police Governance, served on the Calgary Police Commission for more than five years, and is a past chair of the Legal Aid Society of Alberta. He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2010.
