About Catherine
Catherine Gerrits is a partner at DBB Law advising individuals, families, and business owners on tax, corporate, and estate planning matters. She articled with a boutique oil and gas firm in Calgary in 2004 and clerked at the Tax Court of Canada in Ottawa in 2005, then worked in the taxation and wills and estates groups of several national and Calgary firms before joining DBB Law in 2015. Catherine is Métis and comes from a family that has farmed in Alberta for generations. She is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Indigenous Bar Association and has published and presented extensively on wills, estates, and tax planning topics for organizations including the Legal Education Society of Alberta.
