About Darren
Darren Marr advises clients on complex, high-stakes commercial and civil litigation, taking a research-driven approach that starts with understanding the client's business and identifying the issues that matter most. He acts for financial institutions, court officers, private lenders, and shareholders of mid-market businesses across sectors including real estate, personal products, and manufacturing. His work includes corporate disputes, debt enforcement, fraud claims, and oppression remedies, along with insolvency-related litigation such as guarantee claims, wind-ups, and restructuring proceedings. Darren has appeared before every level of court in Ontario, including the Court of Appeal, the Divisional Court, the Superior Court of Justice, and the Commercial List, as well as in arbitration. He graduated with distinction from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law in 2019, where he received the Warren K. Winkler Prize in Labour and Employment Law, and was named top oralist at the Willms & Shier Environmental Law Moot. He earned his B.A. (Hons.) in Political Science from Western University in 2016 as a Gold Medalist and was called to the Ontario bar in 2020.
