About Danielle

Danielle Sandhu is part of the firm's faculty association team, practising labour law in the university sector with particular attention to academic freedom, human rights, and equity issues, and supporting individuals who experience harassment or discrimination through advocacy and, where possible, mediated resolutions. A graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School, she summered and articled with the firm before joining as an associate, and previously worked as a caseworker at Parkdale Community Legal Services, representing workers before boards including the Ontario Labour Relations Board and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, as well as in Small Claims Court. Her law school achievements include the Art and Science of Advocacy Prize, the F.W. Minkler Prize, and the IFLS Vanguard Award, along with a published paper on flight and anti-Black racism in the Windsor Review of Legal and Social Issues. Before law school, she served as Executive Director of a students' union, advocating for access to education and helping bring about changes to tuition policy and anti-sexual violence policies at Ontario colleges and universities.
