About Damien

Damien Buntsma is a partner whose work centers on labour and employment law while also covering a broad litigation practice in commercial, corporate, real estate, and construction matters. He appears regularly before regulatory boards and tribunals as well as all levels of court, including on appeal, and represents employers across sectors such as construction, healthcare, municipalities, condominium corporations, land development, and not-for-profits. Damien handles wrongful dismissal litigation, injunctions, labour disputes, arbitrations, union certification applications, collective bargaining, and judicial reviews before the Ontario Labour Relations Board. He also advises on the employment aspects of corporate transactions and drafts workplace policies and employment agreements. He earned his LLB from the University of Ottawa in 2007 after two BSocSc degrees there, in criminology and political science, both in 2002, and belongs to the Ontario Bar Association and the Canadian Bar Association.
