About Sancia

Sancia Pinto is a partner and co-founder of Pinto Shekib LLP, maintaining a broad civil litigation practice that spans employment law, wills, estates and trusts disputes, real estate and business disputes, and insurance litigation. Her cases have ranged from complex estate disputes and wrongful dismissals to catastrophic injury and fatality claims. Alongside litigation, Sancia is a certified mediator, trained at the Harvard Negotiation Institute, and a certified adjudicator through the Society of Ontario Adjudicators and Regulators. She has served as a mediator and adjudicator with Tribunals Ontario, including the Licence Appeal Tribunal and the Condominium Authority Tribunal, as a Hearings Officer with York Region, and as Chair of the City of Toronto's Administrative Penalty Tribunal, handling parking and red-light camera matters. She also mentors students through Toronto Metropolitan University's Law Practice Program. Sancia holds an LLB from the University of Ottawa and a BA in political science from York University.
