About Craig
Craig Gillespie practices exclusively in class action litigation, serious personal injury, and medical malpractice, representing clients across Alberta and western Canada. He earned an undergraduate degree from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, and a law degree from the University of Alberta in 2001, and was called to the Alberta bar in 2002 after clerking at the Alberta Court of King's Bench and Court of Appeal. He has appeared at all levels of court in Alberta and recovered tens of millions of dollars for clients, including in several multi-million dollar settlements. Gillespie is a past president of the Alberta Trial Lawyers Association and of the Canadian Bar Association's Alberta South Injury Section, and regularly presents at trial advocacy seminars. He has been recognized by Lexpert for over a decade and by Best Lawyers in Canada, including as its 2017 Calgary Medical Negligence Lawyer of the Year. He sits on the Board of Directors for MADD Calgary and is involved with the Calgary Health Trust's Patient Experience Program and the Cerebral Palsy Association of Alberta.
