About Ashley
Ashley Weleschuk joined Cuming & Gillespie LLP as an associate in 2023, bringing experience in professional negligence defence gained during her articles at the Alberta Lawyers Indemnity Association. Her practice focuses on complex litigation, including personal injury claims arising from motor vehicle accidents, class actions, and medical malpractice cases. She graduated from the University of Calgary's Faculty of Law with a Juris Doctor in 2022, after completing an Honours Bachelor of Science at the same university in 2019. During law school, Weleschuk served as Associate Editor-in-Chief of the Alberta Law Review and worked as a research assistant to Justice Alice Woolley on the textbook Understanding Lawyers' Ethics in Canada. She was called to the bar in 2023 and is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Society of Alberta, and the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association.
