About Colleen
Colleen Burke is Associate Counsel at Lidstone & Company, focusing on municipal and land use planning law. She earned an LL.B. from the University of British Columbia in 1998 and was called to the bar in 2000, working as in-house counsel and as an associate with Murdy & McAllister before joining Lidstone & Company in 2018. Her practice covers regulatory analysis, bylaw drafting, and legal opinions on local government issues, including bylaws for animals, building, business licensing, cemeteries, council procedure, environmental protection, fire, noise and nuisance, parks, traffic, and water and sewer services. Burke is a long-time member of the Canadian Bar Association and a past chair of its BC Municipal Section. She returned to the firm on a part-time basis in 2023 after a period of retirement.
