About Steve

Steve Ballard is a managing partner at Cowley & Company. He began his career at a leading personal injury firm, gaining experience presenting major loss claims involving brain injuries, chronic pain and psychological injuries, and appeared regularly as counsel in the Supreme Court of British Columbia and before various tribunals, including a successful Canada Pension Plan appeal involving fibromyalgia. From 2001 to 2007 he was designated contract counsel for ICBC, and he has worked against ICBC on behalf of car accident victims since joining Cowley & Company in 2007, becoming a partner in December 2012. Ballard takes a special interest in motorcycle-accident cases and is a long-time resident of New Westminster, where he has volunteered with New Westminster Minor Softball, the New Westminster Seniors' Legal Clinic, and the Shasta Trampoline Club.
