About Christopher
Chris Moser is primarily a tax lawyer with a broad general practice in business and corporate law, handling federal and provincial income tax for individuals and corporations, GST/HST and provincial sales taxes, and tax appeals at the Tax Court of Canada. He negotiates with tax authorities on behalf of clients and advises privately held businesses and high net worth individuals, handling the corporate and tax aspects of reorganizations, mergers, and acquisitions, as well as Canada-U.S. cross-border tax planning. Moser holds a B.Soc.Sci. in Economics and Political Science from the University of Ottawa (Summa Cum Laude) and a J.D./LL.B. and LL.M. from Osgoode Hall Law School, and clerked with the Federal Court of Canada before entering practice. He was called to the British Columbia bar in 1996 and the Alberta bar in 1998, speaks and writes French fluently, and is the former chairman of Inn from the Cold, a Calgary homelessness charity.
