About Brett
Brett Code, K.C., Q.Arb, has more than 30 years of experience in corporate problem-solving, litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution among corporate stakeholders, and has served as an elected Bencher of the Law Society of Alberta. He leads TingleMerrett's litigation team, which advises on corporate dispute resolution, securities defence, commercial litigation, professional discipline (for lawyers, accountants, engineers, and others), energy disputes, employment law, and construction law. Code was an Adjunct Professor and Sessional Instructor at the University of Calgary's Faculty of Law for over 20 years, teaching corporate law, partnership law, and civil procedure, and won the Howard Tidswell Memorial Award for Teaching Excellence in 2009. He studied and worked in Ontario, Nigeria, France, and the United States before returning to Canada in 1989, and volunteered in Nigeria and Ghana with the Canadian non-government organization CUSO.
