About Chimwemwe

Chimwemwe (Chim) Undi is an associate practising primarily in professional regulation, labour and employment law, and administrative law. She provides advocacy and advice on professional regulation and governance for self-governing professions, with experience in statutory interpretation and compliance, policy development, registration and licensing, and complaints investigations. She is developing a broad labour and employment practice covering employment contracts and policies, workplace investigations, collective bargaining, human rights, and wrongful dismissal. Alongside her legal practice, Chim is active in Winnipeg's arts community and is serving as Canada's Parliamentary Poet Laureate for 2025 and 2026, having previously served as Winnipeg's Poet Laureate. She earned her B.A. (Adv.) in Linguistics from the University of Manitoba in 2016, an M.A. in Linguistics from York University in 2017, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Manitoba's Robson Hall in 2020, and was called to the Manitoba bar in 2021.
