About Chelsey

Bailey is a civil litigator focused on health law, defending health authorities, hospitals, long-term care facilities, and individual medical staff in medical negligence claims and fatality inquiries. She has represented nurses, physicians, pharmacists, paramedics, and other health professionals, and advises professional regulatory colleges on disciplinary proceedings, licensing, and scope-of-practice matters. She appears before all levels of Alberta court and tribunals including the Health Disciplines Board and the Law Enforcement Review Board. Called to the Alberta Bar in 2000, she was appointed King's Counsel in 2024 and has been recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada for medical negligence, including as Edmonton's 2025 'Lawyer of the Year' in that category.
