About Charlene

Charlene Kavanagh began her legal career twenty-five years ago and practices in civil and commercial disputes involving employment, banking, construction, insurance and professional negligence. She has argued before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court of Ontario, the Ontario Court of Appeal and various administrative tribunals. She holds a Master of Laws in Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution, which informs her approach to advising clients on strategy through negotiation or the court system. A native Newfoundlander, Charlene moved to Ottawa after law school in Montreal and speaks English, French and German, with a working knowledge of Portuguese. She is a member of the County of Carleton Law Association, the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association and the Advocates' Society.
