Cathy Guirguis serves as CEO and a partner at the firm, with a practice built around advancing Aboriginal and treaty rights claims, both at the negotiating table and in court. She has represented clients in Ontario and Manitoba courts, in Federal Court, and at the Supreme Court of Canada, along with tribunals covering election disputes, labour matters, and environmental assessment. Cathy is co-lead counsel for the Saugeen Ojibway Nation in its Aboriginal title claim to water and related fiduciary breach claim against the Crown. She also advises clients on land claims negotiations, consultation obligations, and day-to-day employment and governance matters. Cathy holds an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School and a Master's in Environmental Studies, and she has been an adjunct instructor at Osgoode since 2022.
