About Catherine

Catherine practises civil litigation from McInnes Cooper's St. John's office, with experience in insurance defence, including sexual abuse claims, along with defamation, contract disputes, corporate and shareholder disputes, estate litigation, and regulatory offences. She holds a background in social work and applies it to her litigation practice, bringing a compassionate perspective to building solutions for clients. Catherine served as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the University of New Brunswick Law Journal and worked as a judicial intern to Chief Justice J.C. Marc Richard of the New Brunswick Court of Appeal. She earned her J.D. with Distinction from the University of New Brunswick in 2018 and a B.S.W. from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2015, and was called to the bar in British Columbia and Newfoundland and Labrador in 2019.
